The Rivercats fall travel season begins this weekend with double headers in Forest and Charlottesville. We will be participating in the Blue Ridge Travel Baseball Association through October 25.

We’re having tryouts on July 11 for the upcoming fall season for our rising 11U team It’s for boys who are age 11 or under before May 1, 2016 and want to play at a competitive level of baseball. We are looking for players who love to play and are constantly improving their game. Games will be played on weekends, mostly Sunday afternoons. The cost is $65 to cover entry fees and uniforms.
This Saturday and Sunday, the 8U team is headed to their first tournament in Oxford, NC. It is so exciting to see this team come together over the last couple of weeks during practices.
Our first game is at 3:30pm playing the BSG Black Sox from Burlinton, NC. Followed immediately at 5:00pm game verses Carolina Outlaws from Henderson, NC.

Altavista Rivercats is an Altavista based independent youth baseball program with two teams and players aged 8-10 years old. It was started to be a supplement to the YMCA programs which are played in Spring to give talented area kids a chance to play baseball from June to October. To help defray the costs of tournament fees, uniforms, and equipment we are seeking help from local businesses to be sponsors.
